I acquired another new node via GreenCloud and it is now up and running, and looking for peers!

A new site was acquired via Kuroit doing one of the Flash sales. Sadly, when I stood it up I discovered that it did not have IPv6 available. As I want to keep all nodes on both IPv4 and IPv6, on clearnet and in DN42, I decided to use it as a test site.

After configuring the node and testing connectivity, I noticed that the current IPv6 connectivity on the current provider Claw.Cloud was vastly subpar for the needs of this type of node. While IPv4 ping times to other sites in Singapore were in the 2-4ms range, the IPv6 ping times to the same nodes were between 135 and 180ms.

For this reason, that node has been shut down and a new one is being provisioned on another provider. That new node should be available by this weekend, 22 March 2025. Stay tuned.
